Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Difficulty: Easy
Add some nutritious oatmeal to a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe and enjoy those with a little less guilt. The complex carbohydrate oatmeal will also provide more sustainable energy than simple sugar and chocolate based food.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of flour non-whitened
- 4 tb.sp of soft/melted butter
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 t.sp. of vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup of oatmeal flakes
- 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
- 1/4 t.sp. of salt
- 1/2 t.sp. of baking soda
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degree. In a large bowl, whip the butter, brown sugar and the vanilla until you have a creamy mixture. Leave it aside. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and salt. Add this dry mixture to the first bowl. Stir well while you incorporate the remaining ingredients and add the chocolate chips.
On an non-sticky cookie pan, add the dough (2 tb.sp. at a time) at approximately 2 inches from one another. Bake for 15 minutes or take out from oven when the dough has nicely goldened. Let cool for at least 2 to 5 minutes before scraping these out of the sheet before serving.
